About Tree Gear

Tree Gear was founded by Tom and Rich — two arborists with a combined 30+ years of hands-on experience in the industry and over a decade of training and assessing between them.

We know the industry inside out, and we know exactly how expensive it can be to get started. When you’re new to tree climbing, working out what kit you actually need — and what’s worth spending money on — isn’t easy. We’ve been there.

That’s why we built Tree Gear: to make it straightforward for people coming into the industry to get the right gear for their courses and their first years of work, without overspending on kit that doesn’t suit them yet.

Every product we stock is something we’d recommend to a student or apprentice ourselves. And because we know how quickly the costs add up, we offer package deals to help keep things as affordable as possible.
